WASHINGTON – Today, during a House Agriculture Committee markup on cryptocurrency, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (TX-30) introduced an amendment to the bipartisan cryptocurrency regulation bill which would strengthen regulations on the crypto industry, namely regarding the provisional registration framework administered by the CFTC and SEC. The amendment would:
1) require that anyone trying to file a notice of intent to register must do so with a physical address,
WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (TX-30) sent a letter to Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell calling for a pause on interest rate hikes, citing strong, ongoing signs of economic normalization in her Dallas district. As representative for the Federal Reserve regional bank based in Dallas, Crockett noted that the rate hikes are hitting employers and workers in her district hard, and highlighted the disproportionate impact of a potential slowdown on her constituents - namely, Black and Latino workers.

Mr. Gates, a 40-year veteran of the U.S. Postal Service, collapsed on his route last month while temperatures in North Texas reached as high as 115 degrees.
