In a League of Her Own: Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett Will Be First Black Female Democrat to Play in Congressional Baseball Game

WASHINGTON – Today, Freshman Leadership Representative and Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (TX-30) will play in the bipartisan Congressional Baseball Game, supporting various Washington, DC charities. Under the leadership of Coach Linda Sanchez (CA-38), Crockett will play as the only female player on the Democratic Team. Crockett will also play as the first Black female Democrat in the 114-year history of the game.

Every year, the Congressional Baseball Game benefits a host of local charities: the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, Nationals Philanthropies, and the Washington Literacy Center. Among Freshman members, Crockett will play alongside Rep. Don Davis (NC-01), Rep. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), Rep. Dan Goldman (NY-10), Rep. Jeff Jackson (NC-14), Rep. Morgan McGarvey (KY-03), Rep. Rob Menendez (NJ-08), Rep. Kevin Mullin (CA-15), Rep. Wiley Nickel (NC-13), and Rep. Gabe Vasquez (NM-02).

The game will be livestreamed online on FOX Sports.
